The theoretical component is divided into eight distinct modules that include detailed understanding of Facial Ageing, Muscles, Fat Pads, Nerves, Botox, Fillers, and the history and examination of the same. The final module provides an overview on initiating your aesthetic practice.

The course is designed to equip you with key skills and knowledge. It includes taking a comprehensive medical history, performing a full consultation and examination of patients, diagnosing dynamic and static lines, and conveying the anticipated effects and risks of procedures to patients. You’ll also delve deep into facial anatomy, ageing, and the science, types, action, and side effects of Botulinum toxins and fillers.

Other aspects of the course cover patient counselling, which involves history, examination, consent forms, and insurance. It also teaches treatment doses, sites, side effects, and how to administer treatment to patients and obtain their consent. Expert tutors will critically evaluate your techniques and provide constructive feedback.

Moreover, you’ll learn about insurance requirements, business facets, and how to enhance your profit margins through marketing and promotional activities. A thorough exploration of the available products in the market and their appropriate usage is also part of the curriculum.

One of the highlights of the course is a live demonstration by a tutor, followed by a ‘hands-on’ practical session, where you get to apply Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers on a real model.

The treatments covered in this course are BOTOX®, focusing on peri-orbital (crows feet), frontalis (forehead lines) and glabellar (frown lines) areas, and dermal fillers, specifically for lips, offering both definition and volume.

This course welcomes registered doctors, nurses, midwives, and dentists who hold valid GDC, GMC, or NMC registration.
